As we previously shared, Tina Knowles made an appearance on The Sherri Shephard Show and spoke about what it was like seeing her granddaughter, Blue Ivy perform during Beyonce’s Renaissance tour and what she had to overcome to stay apart of the act. “Me and her dad we were together every night and he would come to the front where I was and watch that. I was in tears and he was grinning so hard thought his face would hurt.” Tina Knowles went on to explain how she was nervous for Blue Ivy to take the stage on the first night because of her age. “She’s only 11 years old and to get in front of 70 thousand people at 11 is huge.”

During the conversation, Sherri Shepherd asked if Blue Ivy understood the magnitude of what she was doing each and every night. “I don’t think so,” Tina Knowles replied. “She just loves to dance and she was watching the girls rehearse and she said, ‘I think I’m ready to go on stage’ and her mom said no no I don’t think so Blue and then she thought about it and said if you work hard and you really come with it then we’ll let you go one time. So it was supposed to be a one-time thing.” Following the “magical” moment she actually ended up staying on the whole tour!
