Gypsy Rose Blanchard recently made a public announcement on her personal Facebook account revealing that she and her husband, Ryan Anderson, have decided to separate.

Rose explained, “People have been asking what is going on in my life. Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents home down the bayo,” she wrote on her private Facebook account in a statement obtained by People magazine. “I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now I need time to let myself find… who I am.”

This news comes just three months after Blanchard’s release from prison, where she served time for her involvement in the murder of her mother. The separation announcement also coincided with Blanchard’s decision to delete her popular TikTok and Instagram accounts.

As previously reported, Blanchard was convicted of second-degree murder in connection with the death of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, who was tragically killed by Gypsy Rose’s then-boyfriend, Nick Godejohn, in 2015. This notorious crime inspired the Hulu mini-series, “The Act.” Godejohn confessed to committing the murder at Gypsy Rose’s request, as she had discovered that her entire life had been a fabrication of illnesses and abuse orchestrated by her mother. Godejohn received a life sentence after pleading guilty, while Gypsy Rose served seven years of a 10-year sentence before being released on December 28.

During her time in prison, Gypsy Rose met and married Ryan Anderson, a special education teacher from Louisiana, in July 2022.

Immediately upon her release from prison, she told ET she and Anderson finally moved in together and were in the process of “learning about each other.”

“We’re just trying to take it day by day,” Gypsy Rose added. “We’re just trying to start off the marriage on a good foot before we bring kids into this situation right now.”

While it appeared that everything was going good in her new life, earlier this month, Gypsy Rose made the decision to delete her social media accounts, which had garnered millions of followers. She explained in a series of TikTok videos that she is prioritizing authenticity and real-life experiences over the superficiality of social media, referring to it as a “doorway to hell.”

While it remains unclear whether relationship issues played a role in her decision to delete her social media presence, Gypsy Rose is focused on reclaiming her life and identity. Despite the challenges she has faced, she is determined to navigate this new chapter with the support of her loved ones and a renewed sense of self-discovery.
