The New York City judge presiding over former President Donald Trump’s civil fraud trial found himself at the center of a concerning incident this Wednesday morning.
According to ABC News, Justice Arthur Engoron received an envelope containing a white powder, triggering an immediate response from law enforcement and emergency services.
The envelope, addressed to Justice Engoron, arrived following his decision to impose a substantial judgment against Donald Trump in the civil fraud case. While the contents of the envelope raised alarm, it was determined that the substance was not harmful. Fortunately, only two court officers were exposed to the powder, and the judge himself was never in any danger.
