Keke Palmer recently sat down with Bobbi Althoff and the two spoke about how folks on social media has labeled Bobbi Althoff as an industry plant because of her quick raise to fame.
While promoting a new episode of her podcast, ‘Baby This Is Keke Palmer’ the actress shared a clip of her asking Bobbi about the industry plant rumors. The ‘Nope’ actress asked Bobbi if she was an industry plant and Bobbi jokingly responded back by saying “I am.” After sharing that response Keke shared her thoughts about the situation and said Bobbi’s quick come up does feel kind of “plant-ey.” In the clip Keke can be heard saying, “you got here in 5 minutes, it took me 20 years.”

As we all know Bobbi Althoff sparked a huge debate online when people noticed how quick she came up in the podcast game. The 26-year-old launched The Really Good Podcast in April 2023 and she instantly grew a large fan base after landing an interview with Drake which fans felt like was out of the blue. Of course due to Drake’s large following the podcaster racked up millions of views on the interview. Since landing that interview she went on to have more big guest such as Lil Yachty, Tyga, Mark Cuban and more..
Even after her landing those big interviews she did take a step back from interviewing people in the black culture because she began to receive backlash online. Many people on social media felt like the podcaster was using the black culture to stay on top of the podcast game.
There was even some controversy at one point because she pulled her viral interview with Drake off YouTube which led fans to wonder what happened with their friendship.
The drama began to unfold after Bobbi attended one of Drake’s concerts, where his performance didn’t seem to impress her one bit. This video clip has led some fans to believe that these factors played a role in the deterioration of their friendship, with one person on Twitter going as far as to compare her to Ice Spice.
Drake’s decision to unfollow Bobbi on Instagram and remove their interview from YouTube has left fans perplexed. While he has previously unfollowed others, he has maintained mentor relationships with them. This suggests that there may be more to this situation than meets the eye.
