UPDATE: Rapper Quando Rondo Pleads Not Guilty to Federal Drug Charges

Rapper Quando Rondo has recently pleaded not guilty to federal drug charges in Georgia.

As previously reported, the 24-year-old artist was arrested in his hometown of Savannah and booked in the federal case over the weekend. The charges against Bowman include conspiring with others to possess and distribute drugs such as methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana.

While the indictment does not directly accuse him of possessing or selling illegal drugs, the charge carries a potential sentence of up to 20 years in federal prison. Additionally, Bowman was already facing state charges in Chatham County Superior Court, where he was indicted for being a manager of an illegal street gang and conspiring to sell marijuana and purchase hydrocodone pills.

The federal indictment against Quando Rondo, unsealed on Monday, alleges that he conspired with others to possess and distribute various illegal substances. These substances include methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana. While the indictment does not directly accuse Bowman of possessing or selling these drugs, it suggests his involvement in a larger drug distribution network. If convicted, he could face a long time in the slammer. It is important to note that pleading not guilty is a standard legal procedure and does not imply guilt or innocence.

In addition to the federal charges, Bowman was already facing state charges in Chatham County Superior Court. The grand jury indicted him in June on charges of being a manager of an illegal street gang and conspiring to sell marijuana and purchase hydrocodone pills. These charges highlight the alleged involvement of the rapper in criminal activities beyond drug distribution.

The state charges carry their own legal consequences, and the outcome of both the federal and state cases will determine Bowman’s future.

Quando Rondo, is best known for his singles including “I Remember” and “ABG” which lef to a deal with Atlantic Records. He later released his debut album, “QPac,” in 2020 and then a follow-up album, “Recovery,” which came out in March.

Quando joins the growing list of rappers who have been arrested this year. Young Thug, Tory Lanez, Fetty Wap, YNW Melly, Canova and more are currently locked up.
