Jonathan Majors' Domestic Violence Trial Delayed Again In NYC

Jonathan Majors’ domestic assault trial was suppose to take place today, but when postponed again. Prosecutors said they were all set to get things going today – but the “Creed III” star’s defense attorney argued that there were “deficiencies” in evidence that still needed to be addressed. The judge scheduled the next hearing for September 15, during which a new trial date will be set.

As we all know, Majors is still battling a case where his former girlfriend accused him of domestic battery during a late night in New York City. As we previously reported, Majors has denied all of the allegations he even filed an NYPD domestic violence complaint against his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, in which he claims that she attacked him, and not the other way around.

Majors’ ex continues to claim the actor grabbed her “right arm, [placed] it behind my body, and use his hands to twist my right forearm and right middle finger, causing substantial pain to my right forearm and right middle finger.” Court documents also claim Majors strikes the victim with his hand on her right ear and caused a cut, and that he pushed her into a car using both of his hands, causing her to fall backward.

Majors’ lawyer says her claims are all cap! In a previous interview he shared, “We have provided the District Attorney with irrefutable evidence that the woman is lying, including video proof showing nothing happened, especially not where she claimed,” she said. “We did this with the explicit promise from the DA that they would not ‘fix’ their case and change it as we proved the woman is lying. This is a witch hunt against Jonathan Majors, driven by baseless claims,” Chaudhry continued.

“Instead of dismissing the allegations in the face of the woman’s clear lies, the DA has adjusted the charges to match the woman’s new lies. To be clear, there are no new charges against Mr. Majors.”

His lawyer also recently spoke with Page Six and said the woman felt “legally and morally entitled to physically assault” Majors and “considered this event to have no consequences for her.” Majors’ ex previously told authorities she sustained a broken finger and ear laceration after the alleged altercation. But Chaudhry points out in the filing that the woman can be seen on this video “allegedly using her injured right hand to go through a stack of credit cards” in order to pay for an $800 bottle of champagne on Majors’ card.
