Patricia Krentcil is ready to entertain the world of politics and challenge incumbent Republican Senator Rick Scott. According to TMZ, Krentcil filed the necessary paperwork with the Federal Elections Commission on Monday to become eligible for the upcoming 2024 elections.
So how serious is she? Well, the single mother of five has already launched her campaign website and is running as a Republican based out of Boca Raton. Speaking to the news outlet she said, “I know that I am different. And I have suffered for it. But us all being different is what makes this country so amazing and unique.”

Krentcil gained national attention in 2012 after she took her then-six-year-old daughter with her into a tanning salon bed. As a result of her actions, she was charged with child endangerment. However, she was later acquitted and says she’s focused on LGBTQ rights rather than wild tanning.
While some may dismiss Krentcil’s campaign as nothing more than a publicity stunt, the Tan Mom has a real vision for Florida that is uniquely her own. So far, her campaign includes LGBTQ+ equality and bringing diversity back to the classrooms. Per TMZ, she’s aiming to connect with voters during a bunch of upcoming community appearances.
