Billy Porter's Met Gala Invitation Reportedly 'Revoked' After Calling Anna Wintour A B**Ch

Looks like Billy Porter’s comments about Anna Wintour might’ve caused him an invitation to the Met Gala!

As we previously reported, Billy Porter did a recent interview with The Telegraph and spoke on Harry Style’s Vogie cover and explained that he felt like he only landed a spot on the cover because he’s white and straight. “It doesn’t feel good to me,” Porter shared during the interview “You’re using my community—or your people are using my community—to elevate you. You haven’t had to sacrifice anything.” He also revealed that he had a conversation with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour months prior to the cover’s unveiling. “That bitch said to me at the end, ‘How can we do better?'” he continued. “And I was so taken off guard that I didn’t say what I should have said.”

Now according to Radar Online, a source has revealed that Porter’s Met Gala invitations has been revoked. “The repercussions of Porter’s big mouth have been swift and decisive, as his invitation to the all-important Met Gala was revoked and his once-favorable standing with top-tier designers has been shaken,” a source said. “While Billy is a sensation on the fashion scene, the designers have rallied behind Anna, a true titan of the industry.”

As we previously shared, Porter had a few words for the fashion industry after seeing Harry Style’s controversial Vogue cover where he was presented to be the first solo male to appear on the cover of the fashion magazine. Porter previously did an interview with The Sunday Times where he explained that Style’s wasn’t the first break down the door it was him.  “I feel like the fashion industry has accepted me because they have to. I created the conversation [about nonbinary fashion] and yet Vogue still put Harry Styles, a straight white man, in a dress on their cover for the first time.” He added, “I was the first one doing it and now everybody is doing it,” Porter added. “I’m not dragging Harry Styles, but he is the one you’re going to try and use to represent this new conversation? He doesn’t care, he’s just doing it because it’s the thing to do.”

Billy has been very vocal lately about the industry and the ups and down that comes with it. In a recent interview with Evening Standard, Billy Porter opened up about how he has to sell his home because of the writers strike that is still going on in Hollywood.

During the interview, Porter spoke about how he was supposed to be in a movie and a television show in September but because of the strike he’s missing out on income! “I have to sell my house,” Porter said. “Yeah! Because we’re on strike. And I don’t know when we’re gonna go back [to work]. The life of an artist, until you make f*ck-you money — which I haven’t made yet — is still check-to-check. I was supposed to be in a new movie, and on a new television show starting in September. None of that is happening. So to the person who said ‘we’re going to starve them out until they have to sell their apartments,’ you’ve already starved me out.”
