70+ Letters Were Submitted In Support Of Tory Lanez, Including One From Iggy Azalea

According to new reports from #MeghannCuniff who has been giving play by play updates on Tory Lanez’s sentencing has revealed that 70+ letters were submitted to Judge Herriford of people who are fighting to get Tory a lesser sentence or to be free.

A jail chaplain reportedly wrote a letter and revealed that the rapper started a “daily prayer” in jail that has lessened the tensions between a lot of the inmates. The chaplain that wrote a letter says that Lanez’s prayers have been powerful and he believes the man should be free. Another interesting letter came in to the judge and it was from Iggy Azalea who has been rumored to be messing around with Tory Lanez.

Judge Herriford revealed to the court that Azalea’s letter asked for the judge to impose a sentence “that is transformational and not life destroying.” As of right now the people in the court are on a 90 minute break and things will resume shortly.

As we previously reported, today is the day that Tory Lanez will receive his fate to see what his punishment will be for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Last week, it was reported that Tory Lanez’s attorneys are pushing for the rapper to be released on probation and to be placed in a substance abuse program. But prosecutors are looking to get Lanez to serve at least 13 years for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion even though Tory and his team are still claiming he’s innocent. Prosecutors filed a memo on June 6 stating that any sentence less than 13 years for Lanez would not only “endanger public safety,” but “not be in the interest of justice,” according to a report from Billboard.

“The defendant actively invited harassment of the victim by spreading misinformation to his large following in an effort to galvanize the public against the victim and even the prosecution team without any regard to the dangers it posed,” prosecutors wrote in the memorandum. “The defendant has weaponized misinformation to his large following to such a degree that it has left a lasting traumatic impact on the victim.”
