Cher and Alexander “AE” Edwards have called it quits after dating for several months.

The couple broke up a couple of weeks ago, but it is currently unclear what led to the end of their relationship, as reported by TMZ. Additionally, close sources to the couple said they were never engaged, although Cher was spotted wearing a huge diamond ring around Christmas. However, the outlet said the couple reportedly wanted to play into the rumors.
In January, Cher also told the paparazzi that she and AE were engaged, but she was joking around amid the breakup. The pair started dating in November after they were spotted holding hands during a night out in West Hollywood.

It was previously reported that Cher’s friends were also worried about their relationship and claimed they saw some warning signs.“Cher has a lot of people worried for her right now. “She’s saying it’s her business who she dates, and she’ll make her own decisions, but the warning signs are there for everyone to see,” one a close friend said to Radar Online.
Her friends were worried that the singer was falling too fast for AE because he made headlines regarding a cheating scandal after his ex Amber Rose revealed she discovered he was cheating on her with multiple women.
“Y’all very much knew he was in a relationship with a baby and y’all decided to fu-k him anyway. I saw all the texts and DMs. Y’all were well aware but y’all don’t owe me loyalty so it’s whatever. I can’t be the only one fighting for my family anymore. I’ve been so loyal and transparent but I haven’t gotten the same energy in return. I’ll never say the girls name because I’m not in the business of ruining lives but y’all know who y’all are.”

The couple also made headlines due to their 40-year age gap, but apparently, that didn’t bother Cher as she called him “fabulous,” “very kind,” and “very smart” during an interview on the ‘Kelly Clarkson Show.’
