Hbcu Queens Take Over Netflix’s “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story” World Premiere

Last night all the stars came out for the “QUEEN CHARLOTTE: A BRIDGERTON STORY” premiere at the Regency Village Theatre, which was designed to be fit for a queen!

 Creator and Executive Producer Shonda Rhimes, Executive Producer Betsy Beers, Executive Producer and Director Tom Verica, Co-Executive Producer Julia Quinn, Cast Golda Rosheuvel, India Amarteifio, Corey Mylchreest, Arsema Thomas, Sam Clemmett, Freddie Dennis, Hugh Sachs, Tunji Kasim, Peyvand Sadeghian. Additional notable talent in attendance includes Alicia Keys, Debbie Allen, James Pickens Jr., Nolan Gerard Funk, Davina Potratz, Monique Coleman, Alexis Knapp, Amanda Kloots, Kim Raver, Stacie Greenwell, and more. 

In addition our HBCU queen were in attendance, including Aleya Barber (Miss Tuskegee University), Aliya Everett, (MIss Florida A&M University), Avionna Burns (Miss North Carolina A&T University), Chelsea Pratt (Miss Winston Salem), Jerika Edwards (MIss Dillard), Nailah Williams (Miss Clark Atlanta University),  Naomi Harris (Miss Jackson State University), Nina Giddens, (Miss Xavier University of Louisiana), Nina Rutherford (Miss Benedict College), Taverlyn Shepard (Miss Prairie View A&M), Aaliyah Riddle (Miss Fisk University), and Sa’Mariah Harding (Miss Tennessee State University)

Queen Charlotte focuses on her rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.
