Following news of selling just 10,000 units on her debut album, Chloe Bailey addressed the controversy that she, AND Beyoncé, received. But moving forward, she is now letting her work speak for itself.

Despite her low sales, Chlöe has been silencing all the critics by continuing to trending online, by selling out shows, and by now earning herself her own day in Atlanta!

As we previously shared a few weeks ago, social media fired off some harsh tweets and comments on Instagram after Chart Data claimed that Chlöe sold 10,000 units of her debut album ‘In Pieces,’ which debuted at No. 119 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, as of Monday (April 10).

Several fans called out Queen Bey — who signed Chloe and her sister Halle Bailey to her Parkwood Entertainment management company back in 2015 — and claimed that Bey never once posted Chlöe’s album, songs, or anything ahead of her artist’s big debut.

Others slammed Chlöe and her team for having her booked and busy in movies, but not putting forth the same effort to have her on billboards, interviews, etc. ahead of her album debut.

Finally addressing the album sales backlash, the next day (April 11), Chlöe took to one of her sold-out concerts to slam the backlash and the critics.

She sounded off and said, “I don’t have another song to sing I just wanted to say ‘Hi’ again because I can’t let go of this feeling. Make sure y’all go support this motherf**king album. F**k what the f**k everybody got to say and they can kiss my black a**.”

Chlöe also went on ‘The Breakfast Club’ and gave the critics a good read.

She said, “At least people are talking, and at least people are listening to the project. And as much as people try to bring up the numbers, I’m trending every other day. Marketing can’t buy that. A label can’t buy that. So, people care enough to constantly have my name in their mouths. So, I’m doing something right.”

Following her clap backs, Chlöe has continued to let her sold out shows speak for her, in addition to her now receiving her own day in Atlanta.

On Saturday (April 22), Chlöe attended a proclamation ceremony dedicated to her at Morehouse College, in her home city. At the ceremony, Chlöe spoke to a crowd of students about her rise to fame and success, and also received a plaque from the institution, dubbing April 22nd as “Chloe Bailey Day.”
